Two groups operated under the "Wonderbolts" title during the Second Era. The first was an aerial acrobatics team charged with public entertainment, much like their pre-war iteration. The second operated as an unconventional warfare unit. While the air show team kept the organization's original insignia, a winged yellow lightning bolt, the warfare unit adopted a winged skull design more reminiscent of the Shadowbolts.
The Church of Solstice created the Clear Sky Bureau in the model of the Wonderbolts.
